Women’s Hearth is a safe and welcoming daytime shelter in Spokane where women, trans women, and non binary individuals can access basic needs, community, support, resources, and connection with dignity.

Women’s Hearth is a safe, welcoming community that promotes growth and wellbeing for women, trans women, and non binary individuals from diverse backgrounds.
At the Hearth, participants can find more than a place to spend the day. They can access basic needs, build nurturing relationships, participate in community activities, connect with resources, and be met with respect. The program is rooted in the belief that community and relationships have the power to support healing, stability, and self determination.
Free Services and Support
Women’s Hearth provides free services that help meet immediate needs while supporting connection, growth, and long term stability.
Basic Needs
Access to showers, food, hygiene products, and other essentials in a welcoming daytime space.
Groups, Classes, and Activities
Support groups, 12 step meetings, life skills classes, arts and crafts, music, spirituality, self expression opportunities, and community activities.
Community Meals and Events
Shared meals, speakers, meetings, activities, and events that foster connection, belonging, and support.
Resources and Referrals
Connect with social services, housing support, mental health resources, computers, and online tools for next steps.
A Place to Belong
Women’s Hearth offers a place where people can feel seen, welcomed, and connected. Through shared meals, creative activities, support groups, and everyday conversations, the Hearth helps participants build relationships and find a sense of community.
For many women experiencing poverty, homelessness, isolation, trauma, or instability, having a consistent and respectful place to belong can be an important step toward healing and hope.

Women’s Hearth is open during the following hours:
Monday: 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM
Tuesday: 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Wednesday: 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Thursday: 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Saturday and Sunday: Closed
