Creating Pathways to Stability in Spokane
Transitions is a Spokane nonprofit dedicated to serving women and children experiencing poverty and homelessness. Through compassionate, evidence based, and trauma informed services, we provide whole person care that meets immediate needs while helping build stronger futures.
For decades, Transitions has been a trusted part of the Spokane community, offering support through housing, daytime services, job training, advocacy, and community partnerships. Everything we do is rooted in dignity, compassion, and the belief that every person deserves the opportunity to thrive.
Community
Programs That Support Women with Dignity, Stability, and Hope
Transitions offers a thoughtful continuum of care designed to meet women where they are and help them move toward greater safety, stability, and opportunity. Through compassionate support, trauma informed services, and strong community connections, our programs address immediate needs while creating pathways for long term growth and healing.

Women’s Hearth
A welcoming daytime shelter where women can find safety, hospitality, practical support, and connection in a space built on dignity and trust.

New Leaf Coffee Shops
A social enterprise and job training program that helps individuals build confidence, develop workplace skills, and take meaningful steps toward employment.

Housing
Supportive housing services that help women and families move out of crisis and toward long term stability with the care and support they need along the way.

Partnerships
Collaborative work with community organizations and service providers to expand access to resources, strengthen referrals, and better serve women and children across Spokane.
Dignity
More Than Shelter. A Path Forward.
At Transitions, we know that lasting change takes more than a single service. That is why we provide person centered support that responds to immediate needs while also helping women and children move toward long term stability.
From day shelter services and housing support to job training, advocacy, and community resources, every part of our work is grounded in human dignity and the belief that every life has worth.
